Join Fiona on a one to five day horse trek through Nelsons untamed back country, located at the top of New Zealands South Island 50 minutes from Abel Tasman National Park. Baton Run Adventures offers an experience well off the beaten track and wed love to share this corner of the world with you.
We like to keep trips small (five people or less) and personal, so you will be well looked after while still experiencing a sense of adventure. Come and explore five unique valleys bordering the Kahurangi National Park.
With over 5000 acres of land to ride on, youll move through a variety of landscapes, winding through native bush, listening to the call of the Tui and Bell Bird, and cantering across green fields surrounded by rugged mountains ranges.
The Baton Run lies along the banks of the Baton & Ellis Rivers. The main part of the farm is 350 hectares with 404 hectares of bush nestled in behind it.
We have two fully equipped cabins with creative interiors for you to stay in. The Honeywell Hut, next to the Baton River, has a superb private swimming hole, and the Alpine Hut has rugged mountain and valley views over Tasman and beyond.
